What is Teeneagle?

Teeneagle is a universal networking platform with the goal of giving every student globally the chance to stand out and compete.

What does Teeneagle do?

Teeneagle has three competition rounds: the Teeneagle Online Round, the National Rounds, and the Global Finals. These three competitions work together to make three stages of our international English competition.

Why should I compete in a Teeneagle competition?

Participants in the Online Round qualify for the Finals and they can win discounts to other stages. Morever, participants in the Global Finals can win discounts to prestigious colleges and universities in the UK, as well as select funded opportunities to work and study over the summer.

Who can participate in a Teeneagle competition?

Students from any country in the world, as long as they’re between grades 5-12.

Is the Teeneagle too much work for teachers and students who are already very busy?

Teeneagle is designed taking how much work and how many commitments they already have. Mostly, the preparation time is from a week to four weeks for Teeneagle Online and a bit more for Globals. Our team supports students with lots of live events, online practice sessions, education and training..etc. to prepare for the upcoming competitions.

What is the Teeneagle Online competition?

The Teeneagle Online competitions are stage one of our English language competitions. It is a multiple choice quiz done completely online.

When are the Online Rounds?

What do I do to compete in a Teeneagle Online Competition?

Register to compete here. Once you’ve confirmed your registration, go onto our Resources and start studying! Most importantly, enjoy reading the book and watching the film with your family and friends if possible 🙂

What can I win at the Teeneagle Online competition?

All participants receive a participation certificate and a report card, as well as certain awards;
40 to 59% receives an Honourable Mention Certificate
60 to 69% receives a Bronze Certificate
70 to 79% receives a Silver Certificate
80 to 99% receives a Gold Certificate
A perfect 100% score receives our prized Platinum Certificates. The top achievers per category will receive discounts for the Teeneagle Global Finals trip and competition.

How will I get my medals and/or certificates?

ou will receive your certificates via email after the results are available. Some of our partners also deliver medals to the winners.

NATIONAL

Where and when are the National Rounds?

National Rounds are made worldwide, on a varying basis. Please note that all National Rounds have been suspended in 2022 due to COVID-19.

What is the Teeneagle National competition?

The Teeneagle National competitions are stage two of our English language competitions. Students compete in local schools in persuasive speaking, writing, knowledge, and spelling. It is not an obligatory round after or before the globals.

GLOBAL FINALS

What is the Teeneagle Global Finals competition?

The Teeneagle Global Finals competition is the third and last stage of our English Language competitions. Students travel to London for an eight-day trip covering four competitions in persuasive speaking, writing, knowledge, and spelling, as well as two optional competitions in Short Film and Talent Show.

Where and when are the Global Rounds?

Our main venue is in London, UK, and it takes place in summer. You can find the exact date for this year here.

Do I need a supervisor to compete in a Global Finals Competition?

Yes, a supervisor is needed; either a teacher or a parent works.

What can I win at the Teeneagle Global competition?

All participants receive a participation certificate and a report card, as well as certain awards;
40 to 59% receives an Honourable Mention Certificate
60 to 69% receives a Bronze Certificate
70 to 79% receives a Silver Certificate
80 to 99% receives a Gold Certificate
A perfect 100% score receives our prized Platinum Certificates.
Moreover, each student receives a 10% discount from the selected partner universities and a 25% discount from Brooke House College for their first year of education.

How do I register for the Teeneagle Global competition?

Register to compete here. You will need to confirm your placement in an Online or National Round. Once you’ve confirmed your registration, go onto our Resources and start studying!

How much does it cost to register for the Teeneagle Global competition?

What is included in the registration cost?

The fee includes accommodation, three meals a day, transportation, English lessons, attraction costs, outdoor and indoor activities, goodie bags, and more. The fee does not cover visa costs, flight prices, and individual shopping money. More information can be found in our brochure.

Do I have to compete in an Online or National competition to join a Global Finals competition?

Yes. Any participant wishing to compete in a Teeneagle Global competition must qualify through an Online or a National Round.

RESOURCES

What categories are there for the Teeneagle Competition?

Teeneagle has four categories, divided by age and country of origin. Age categories are divided into Eaglets (grades 5-8) and Eagles (grades 9-12). Countries are divided into native-speaking countries and ESOL countries.

What resources are there for the Teeneagle Competitions?

Resources are different for each competitive category (see question above), but each category uses one book and one movie. Find more information on resources here.

What competitive events are there in each round?

Knowledge Quiz, Persuasive Speaking, Writing Challenge and the Spelling Bee. Teeneagle Global has the same four competitive events as the National Rounds, with two optional events in Short Film and Talent Show. For details, please visit here.

Yes, we can. Once you have finished your registration, we will send you an official invitation letter along with some other supporting documents.
