The Online Competition is the first step in the Teeneagle Plan towards a brighter future. Through our Online Competition, we aim to provide an accessible global network to share ideas, promote diversity, and inspire young minds to unlock their potential. However, we also hope that participating in Teeneagle Online helps teens to assess their strengths and weaknesses, making them a more powerful contestant in future rounds.
The Teeneagle Online Competition lasts for 60 minutes, during which participants will be asked to complete 50 multiple-choice questions. The Teeneagle Online Competition will be done under the supervision of one of our local partners, which can be anyone from a teacher, to a staff member in education, to an external party, unless organised otherwise. Students are allowed to use their own electronic devices to take the Teeneagle Online Competition, such as laptops, cell phones, and tablets.
The questions themselves are made from the resources Teeneagle provides, and are different based on our competitive categories. Teeneagle has four competitive categories: you can look here in more detail to figure out which category you or your students would be competing in.
Each category consists of two resources, one book and one movie. All our multiple-choice questions will come directly from one of these resources. Participants will be asked to recall key terms, understand key theories, or analyse short passages of texts from these resources.
All participants will receive a participation certificate and a report card. However, we do have certain awards based on results; participants who obtained between 40 to 59% on the Teeneagle Online Competition will receive an Honourable Mention Certificate. Participants who obtained between 60 to 69% will receive a Bronze Certificate. Participants who obtain between 70 to 79% will receive a Silver Certificate. All participants who obtained between 80 to 99% will receive a Gold Certificate. And finally, the participants who obtain a perfect 100% score will receive our prized Platinum Certificates.
The top achievers per category will receive discounts for the Teeneagle UK trip and competitions. If there are more than 300 participants per country, the first-place students will receive a 100% discount. Second-place students will receive 75% Third-place students will receive 50%, and all gold medallists will receive a 10% discount. If there are less than 300 participants per country, then all platinum medallists will receive a 20% discount, while all gold medallists will receive a 10% discount.
In order to register for the Teeneagle Online Competition, students are required to register through our official website. Then they will be taken to our official platform, where they will have resources, dates, and collaborative opportunities localised on one accessible page.
After students register, they should check their inbox for a confirmation email before they start studying. A day before the competition, students should check their email to find a unique access link. This access link will only be active during the exam. Once the competition starts, students simply refresh the link to begin taking the Teeneagle Online Competition. Any technical errors can be resolved by refreshing the page or clicking on the link again, which will automatically return the student to where they left off.
After competing, all students must do is keep an eye on our website and social media platforms for updates. Results and certificates will be sent to the email address provided upon registration. After students receive their final scores, they can reserve their spot for further competitions.
